Metal and Appliance Recycling Program.

Appliances must be recycled in Iowa.  DMASWA offers drop off for appliance recycling at the landfill. The fee is $10 per appliance. Metals can also be recycled with DMASWA.  Please stop at the scale house and they will direct you to the drop off location.

Alliant Energy Appliance Recycling Program - Alliant Energy customers are eligible to recycle their working refrigerators, freezers, and room air conditioners through Alliant and receive money when they pick them up. They give customers $50 for refrigerators and freezers and $25 for room air conditioners. For more information, call 1-866-ALLIANT (255-4268) or go to www.alliantenergy.com/appliancerecycling.

The fee for recycling appliances is $10 a piece.

There is no fee to recycle scrap metal.
