Find out what happens at the Landfill by attending an Open House on, Tuesday, September 25th from 4 to 6 p.m.

The public is invited to learn about the services offered by the Dubuque Metropolitan Area Solid Waste Agency (DMASWA) by participating in on-site tours and discussions with staff.

In addition to landfilling, DMASWA offers yard waste composting, recycling drop off for many materials and proper disposal of household hazardous materials. Trolley tours will be offered at 4 p.m., 4:15 p.m. 5 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. and will include the Education Pavilion with displays on operations and the landfill gas flare. Snacks will be available for attendees also.

The mission of the DMASWA is to provide environmentally sound, financially stable, fiscally responsible, community recognized, solid waste management services that include appropriate waste reduction, resource conservation, and disposal activities.
