REGIONAL COLLECTION CENTER FOR HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTES BEGINS SUMMER HOURS

Household hazardous wastes (HHW) such as oil-based paint, motor oil, lawn chemicals, and other chemicals, should not be disposed of in trash cans, floor drains, or storm sewers. These items should be brought to the Dubuque Metropolitan Area Solid Waste Agency (DMASWA) Regional Collection Center (RCC) for safe disposal. This service is FREE to Dubuque and Delaware county households. Beginning April 2nd, materials can be dropped off anytime between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday....

The Dubuque Metropolitan Area Solid Waste Agency (DMASWA) has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) to identify a partner to process and market the landfill gas collected by the agency.

Sophomore Jacob Jansen has taken on a new role in the Loras Student Union as the Sustainability Chair.Jacob gained an interest in food waste reduction in high school saying, “It really peaked in high school.
