Recycle Those Old Holiday Lights!

Holiday Lights

Holiday lights contain materials such as copper, glass, and various plastics. During the recycling process these materials are removed and sold so that manufacturers can make use of these materials to make new products.

Unwanted holiday lights can be dropped off in marked containers outside the City of Dubuque Municipal Services Center at 925 Kerper Court and at the Carnegie Stout Public Library from November 15 through January 15.

Unwanted holiday lights and all other consumer electronics can be recycled year-round at the Regional Collection Center at the Landfill. Appointments are required for electronics brought to the landfill.  To schedule an appointment for dropping off electronics and holiday lights at the landfill, visit www.dmaswa/.org

For more information call the Landfill at 563-557-8220. www.dmaswa.org.
