Acceptable Materials

Glass 
The following types of glass are accepted in the purple containers only, which are located at the Landfill, Northwest Arterial Hy-Vee, and the City of Dubuque Municipal Service Center:

  • Candle Jars (leftover wax okay)
  • Cosmetic bottles/jars
  • Drinking Vessels (pint, wine, mason jars)
  • Rinsed Glass food and beverage containers (all colors, labels can stay on)
