Students will learn how humans can reduce their impacts on the environment through interactive lessons encouraging them to explore ways to reduce, reuse, and recycle everyday items.

Students will understand the processes and how we can all participate in each of them. They will also learn the positive impacts of these practices and why they are important in our community.

Students will learn about the natural recycling process of composting and what the benefits are to reduce climate change and conserve natural resources.

Paper Making Kit
This kit is available from the DMASWA Education Office for check out. It uses everyday household supplies to make recycled paper ornaments.
Recycling Relay
Using items that are disposed of on a regular basis, hold a relay with teams sorting items into trash, recycling, and reuse containers. The winning team is the one with the most accurate items in their containers.
